Winter

So Richmond completely skipped the entire fall season. It went from summer directly to winter. I have NO winter clothes. I think I own like 3 long sleeve shirts and 2 sweaters, no jacket, socks or anything. I am SO cold. I need a coat, sweater, ear muffs, hat, scarf, etc, etc, etc.... and I cant go buy any of this til Sunday, so freezing I will be.

This past weekend was awesome. Melanie came down and we threw her a party on Saturday night, it was really fun. Drake came and it was nice seeing him for the first time in like a year. Friday I worked then went to a 3 kegger on Cherry st followed by a delightful dance party on Leigh. My friend Phil decided it was necessary to beat up a skinny drunk obnoxious dude, it sucked but was funny. The guy ripped Phil's fresh new polo so Phil stole his Giant's hoodie, it was a sweet trade.

I'm in English class. I havent done any work for this class in weeks. I have two midterms on Thursday and i'm a little overwhelemed.

I'm boycotting the saying "i guess" because I don't understand. What are you "guessing" when you respond with that answer? I think its stupid.

http://www.cutethingsfallingasleep.org/ its basically short little youtube videos of cute animals falling asleep (wow who would've thought)

I'm not voting next week. Don't hurt me.

A small addition

P.S. KFC Biscuits bowls are really good minus the corn

Compliment each other like colors

"the fact that you are one of the most individualistic people that i've ever met
you always do your own thing, think for yourself, act how you want to act, don't appear to be dependent on anybody else, work hard, and in general are just like "here's who i am. take it or leave it and i like that. you know how you meet somebody for the first time? and you're like "hey, they remind me of ______" i've never met somebody and been like "you remind me of shayla"
nobody has ever reminded me of you"

My friend Drake said this, I think its one of the best compliments I've ever received.

I'm at work and everyone here smells really bad, i don't understand how boys can muster up such a sweat just by playing pool, it really boggles me.

I bought a pumpkin today for 3.50 its really dirty and lopsided but i felt it call to me. I'm going to carve the crap out of it next week and display it for all to see.

My life is so complicated right now that i cant even blog about it because it doesnt even make sense in real life.

Last night I played poker and drank PBR light, it was fun, I almost won.
I'm going to a dance party tonight.
Melanie is coming tomorrow.

This week sucked.
I have two midterms next week.

Happy Halloween!

Autumnober

It finally feels like October, i don't know how I feel about it. I like the leaves on the ground though but I'm too cold right now.

My fall break was as follows:

Thursday: Left Richmond around noon with Brendan and Jane, we had an eventful ride back playing the ABC game and the animal game (Jane sucks at this game) I dropped Jane off in Manassas and Brendan and I went to my house. We hung out there until Mealworms came over. We decided to take a trip down memory lane and go to my old house and then to my high school. It was 6pm so no one was there except a random volleyball game was going on, we decided it would be a good idea to sit and watch the game for 5 minutes then leave so we did just that. We went home and played half a game of Balderdash before brendan left. Melanie, my mom and I watched the Notebook (WHY do I keep watching that, it makes me really depressed) then I went over to Melanies to have a sleepover. We dug through her basement and found old journals and stuff she wrote which turned out to be really entertaining.

Friday: Melanie woke me up at a very early hour as usual and we watched Ratatouille then went to my house and got locked out. After finally getting in we decided to paint and it turned out very unsuccessful. We went to Fuddruckers then the mall and did silly things. We left and my mom and I went to Bingo, we didn't win and it sucked. I met up with Brendan and we went and hung out with Christy and her friends. Christy is funny.

Saturday: Brendan and I went to the Zoo and it was so much fun. We saw flamingos! And sloth bears and prarie dogs and naked mole rats and gorillas in hammocks.

Today: I'm at work watching Scary Movie 2 and reading the Battle of New Orleans: Andrew Jackson and America's First Miltary Victory. I have to pee.

THE ENDS.

Good Day

I had a nice day. I went to my psychology lab today and it ran really short so I spent the remainder of my time completing a good portion of my homework due next Monday. This means that I pretty much don't have anything important to do over Fall break. I went to Health services to get my throat checked and I don't have strep or mono so I guess its just a cold...I went to the gym afterwards for 45 minutes, did a little this and a little that. Went home hungry, Long asked me to eat with him. He took me to a Korean place called Mama's Kitchen, ordered something for me (that turned out to be surprisingly good) and we talked for a good while. I'm glad we are friends again, hes a nice dude.

Ok so now i'm in class, last class before break, NO ONE is here and I'm thinking about bailing. just thinking about it though because I'm def not going to (whats the point I'm already here)

I'm going over to Jessica's later to drink Pina Coladas then getting some beer and partying it up my last night here. I might go to Godfreys, who knows. I cant wait to go home. I'm going to bingo, zoo, pumpkin patch, dinner with my gf, etc etc

Already slacking...

With this blog. Uhhh been doing a lot of schoolin' and Break Pointin'
I love my job. A lot. I drew a picture of a flamingo cooking eggs for his girlfriend to celebrate them moving in together, his girlfriend is a whale. They were playing scrabble and drinking wine too. Also drew a cat hula hooping and a manatee in a rocking chair with coffee reading to two cats, one cat had a sheep on his head that was trembling. I ate some scooby do fruit snacks too

Not sleeping much, not doing much homework... I need to read a whole bunch this weekend.
Helping out with a Soup kitchen tomorrow with Jane for Church. I'm really excited :)

I'm obsessed with the first five tracks on the new JM CD and I cannot stop listening to them for the life of me.

Brendan just made me dinner :)

MUCH MUCH MORE LATER. SO MUCH MORE.

Monkey Bread

First off: I know this blog is lacking anything useful, and I am not apologizing for it.
Today I did laundry. And then went and took an exam. I hate math, thats all I'm saying.
I discovered that the exams that I THOUGHT I did mediocre on last week I actually aced, thats encouraging.

I'm jealous that Jane always writes such interesting entries and I write tributes to sock monkeys.
In response to your entry Jane: I think everyone looks funny running, not just white people. Although in 8th grade a classmate of mine was nice enough to tell me I run like a handicapped platypus.

I've been taking trips down memory lane lately. I think its mostly because I've been hanging out with my brother a lot recently. Even though are visits usually entail some form of argument (all his fault of course, I'm always right and everyone that knows me knows this), we unknowingly reminisce a lot about growing up. It makes me really happy. Sometimes I feel like if I dont take the time to actually remember my childhood I'll forget things, small things or maybe even big things. I don't want to forget anything.

I'm craving monkey bread and a root beer float after watching this food network episode of Unwrapped. Everything I see on T.V. being advertised I want. Thats probably why I'm stuck with a pancake puff and a magic bullet which I've used twice maybe. I'm not saying these weren't important purchases because they were, but commercials really suck me in.

I realize how stuck up I come across sometimes, it sucks because I'm really not stuck up at all.

Break Point

I'm at work watching Not Another Teen Movie and eating biscuits and gravy. I'm tired and still a little sad. Why did I watch Titanic and the Notebook consecutively last night? Because I basically was crying my eyes out for hours. The movies just emphasized some of the emotions that I've been feeling lately so I guess thats why they made me cry more than usual.

A friend of mine told me that I had a missed connection on craigslist, I thought it was awesome because Melanie and I browse those all the time and think how cute it would be if we ever got one. http://richmond.craigslist.org/mis/864825535.html

I e-mailed the person back saying "you're welcome"

I'm really thirsty and this gravy is way too peppery.

Sock Monkeys

I was just at Barnes and Nobles and they had a huge section of Sock Monkey stuff.
They had a few books with pictures of various Sock monkeys, a calendar, actual sock monkeys, a planner, etc etc
It made me realized how much I really like Sock Monkeys. I already knew I liked them, but I like them a lot!!

Whenever I'm bored I google "baby animals"

So my week of hell is over. I'm done with classes and basically done with midterms (I have one on Monday but its open note so I'm not too worried about)
I still have a lot of work to do but that dog is me right now.

I'm in class right now and all I can think about is chocolate pudding.

HUMAN SOCIETIES AND GLOBALIZATION

I find this class really uninteresting. I feel really guilty whenever I'm in this class. I never listen, all I do is go online and usually go to www.bored.com and find a random site to keep me busy. I feel like I'm wasting my time and money when I'm not listening although I've tried in the past to get into the discussions but just simply couldn't.

I have an exam tomorrow in Literature, another class I don't particularly enjoy. I really love reading and usually don't have any problems reading text books, so I'm surprised that this class has been so hard for me. I find the way the stories are written terribly confusing. I had to re-read the Odyssey twice, I finally got the storyline with the help of SparkNotes and I actually found it remotely interesting. The Aeneid, on the other hand, pretty much sucks.

I finally got the new Jack's Mannequin CD from Plan 9 today, it is amazing (as far as I know, I've only listened to 4 songs but I suspect it's only going to get better)

On the news today, really important stuff like...
Heather locklear getting arrested (and I think thats funny)
A baby formula in China killing babies (says my nail technician at least)
A 6-year old kid getting a speeding ticket for driving a go-kart on his street (the cop later revoked the ticket because he realized he was a little stupid)
and a chihuahua getting attacked by a hungry shark

The End.
