I just witnessed a historical moment

Here I am, a 19 year old sophomore at VCU and i just witnessed one of the most significant moments in American history. Last night around 11:30 Obama was elected president, being apathetic towards this election and politics in general, I wasnt as excited as most people. Right as he was elected fireworks went off, people screamed and celebrated and ran around like crazy My room mates and I were on our way to a party when we saw something so epic we just all were speechless. Thousands of VCU students holding Obama signs were marching in celebration down broad street. There were cars but no one cared, they eventually had to close down Broad st, Richmond was just one big celebration, everyone came together to rejoice. Students marched up and down Broad st (and other streets too) into the wee hours of the night screaming and yelling and jumping on cars and just having the best time of their life. This will be a night i'll never forget. The one thing that brought the entire VCU population together. I'm still astounded at what I saw last night/this morning, I wish I had pictures.
